Documentation map

A responsibility-based inventory of academic, operational and financial materials.

Readiness review

A review of gaps, consistency and issues to resolve before an authority’s evaluation.

Who this is designed for

University and college founders evaluating Florida as their operating jurisdiction.

Existing institutions planning a change or strengthening their licensing documentation.

Begin with the right questions

Use CIE’s current new-institution materials and rules as the starting point. The authority determines applicability, licensing decisions and permitted activities; consulting support does not replace that determination.

Each engagement is scoped to your institution. Deliverables, responsibilities, specialist involvement and fees are agreed before work begins.

Questions before you begin

Does a Florida license mean an institution is accredited?

No. State operating authorization and institutional accreditation are separate processes. Federal financial aid eligibility and SEVP certification also require their own evaluation.

What should I prepare for an initial consultation?

Bring a short overview of your institution, current operating and licensing status, program plans, intended market and the decisions you need help making. Avoid including confidential student or financial records in an initial inquiry.

What happens after the initial discussion?

A proposed engagement should define the workstreams, deliverables, responsibilities, specialist involvement and commercial terms. No regulator or accreditor decision is represented as assured.
